Important Note:
1. After office hours check-in (with at least 5 working days advance notice before your intended check-in date) are available at all hostels before the start of semester:
Please inform the respective Hostel Management Office via email.
2. All international undergraduate freshmen staying at Halls and Houses must check in to their hostels on 27 July 2025 to attend the pre-orientation arrival programme and hostel orientation programme. All other students are to check-in within 3 calendar days of the contract start date and check-out by the contract end date unless they are staying for vacation.
3. Students who wish to do a late check-in (checking in after the 3rd day of the contract start date) are to notify their respective hostel management office before the contract start date. They will still be liable for the full accommodation fees (based on offered period of stay). If no email notification is received, their offer will be cancelled and the acceptance fee will not be refunded.
4. Late Offers - Students who are offered an accommodation after the start of the semester are to check-in to their respective hostel by the date indicated in the offer notification email. Please note that payment is required prior to check-in. Payment can be made via the UHMS portal or at the Student Service Centre. Residents wishing to check-in after the date indicated in the offer notification email are to notify their respective hostel management office via email before date indicated in the offer notification email. They will still be liable for the full accommodation fees (based on the revised offered period of stay). If no email notification is received, their offer will be cancelled and whatever payment made previously will not be refunded.
5. Residents are to complete their official check-out procedure during office hours. Kindly contact your respective Hostel's Management Office for more information on the checkout process.

*Refers to international Freshmen who are offered housing at HALLS and HOUSES and have accepted their housing offers by 21 July 2025.
To ensure a smooth transition, all incoming international undergraduate freshmen allocated to HALLS and HOUSES are required to attend the pre-orientation arrival programme and hostel orientation. This allows time for new students to adjust, meet fellow residents, and immerse themselves in activities that promote learning, cultural exchange, and community building. More information on the hostel orientation will be provided by your hostel.

* Residents who are not continuing their stay or not offered housing in the following semester will be offered either partial vacation stay or up to their course end date whichever is earlier. Requests for extension beyond the stated check-out dates will be reviewed by the hostel management office on case by case basis and subject to vacancies.

For request to check-in before or after the contract start date, please apply via UHMS Portal at here from 15 to 22 July 2025. A minimum stay period may be applicable.
Early check-in is not guaranteed and subject to room availability as determined by respective Hostel Management Office.
Kindly note that residents checking in before the start of the official stay period (Semester 1, Week 0 and Semester 2, Week 1) will be subject to additional hostel charges.
