Discover the beauty of plants through this hands-on floral pressing workshop blending craft, science and nature! Collect and press real garden specimens, learn their names, and create your own postcards or bookmarks to take home.

Times: 11am to 11.30am, 12pm to 12.30pm, 1pm to 1.30pm

Open to all NUS students. Capped at 20 per session. 

About the plant specimens

Choose from a variety of dried plants from Ridge View Residential College’s Learning Forest and learn more about them in the workshop: 

  • Pennywort (Centella asiatica) 
  • Pinwheel flower (Tabernaemontana divaricata) 
  • Ixora (Ixora congesta) 
  • Crenated myconia (Miconia crenata) 
  • Common ferns (Nephrolepis biserrata) 
  • Rubber tree (Hevea brasiliensis) 
  • Cratoxylum cochinchinense 
  • Assam Kandis (Garcinia parvifolia) 
  • Sendudok (Melastoma malabathricum)
