Accessibility Activation
Accessibility activation invites the NUS community to learn, reflect and take action for inclusion. Through interactive experiences and collective participation, we hope to spark curiosity, build empathy, and celebrate accessibility as a shared responsibility.
1. Beyond What's Visible, Let the Unseen Be Seen

Discover accessibility in everyday life through games, booths, and sensory zones. Learn about hidden disabilities, explore hands-on activities, and join conversations that open new perspectives. Collect stamps when you participate and complete six of the eight interactive booths, including the NUS Enablers and Purple Parade booth, to redeem an ice cream! Be among the first 50 to enjoy a CHAGEE drink.
At the booths, you will experience:
- A card game on on autism myths, inclusive hiring considerations and engage in converstations about stressors and coping strategies.
- Complete daily tasks while wearing wrist weights to experience challenges of completing daily task with physical restrictions.
- Stepping into Sensory Zones to experience how different envrionments evoke different feelings and sensations.
Our Partners
Accessibility Activation is made possible through the support of student groups, community organisations, and social enterprises. From advocacy and education to wellness and employment, each partner brings unique insights into building an inclusive society. Visit their booths to learn more, join conversations, and discover opportunities to get involved beyond the event.

Are you biting more than you can chew?
Sharen has spent over 15 years walking alongside neurodivergent individuals - with humour, warmth and lived experience.
Her debut book, I Bit Off More Than I Can Chew – A Pep Talk for Overachievers with ADHD, is for anyone who has ever felt: overwhelmed, distracted, or “too much.”
It’s part pep talk, part survival kit, and a reminder that: You’re not broken, you’re just wired differently.

We believe that gainful employment is essential to uplifting dignity and improving the quality of life. Our programmes help individuals gain the skills, confidence and connections they need to thrive in the workforce.
2. Purple Parade NUS Contingent March

This is the third year NUS is marching as a contingent at The Purple Parade. For some, it will be their first time meeting people with disabilities. For others, it’s a chance to see how an event can be designed with inclusion and accessibility built in. For everyone, it’s a chance to stand together and say: we want a community where everyone belongs. Join the NUS Contingent March at The Purple Parade on 25 Oct 2025 and be part of Singapore's largest movement supporting inclusion of Persons with Disabilities.
