CFA offers a range of workshops to equip students with the skills and know-how to effectively organise and manage their activities.

While most are crafted specifically for the student leaders of the NUS Arts Groups, CFA periodically holds workshops that are open to all students. Any updates on workshops will be listed on this page.

Dance Safety Workshop for Dance Leaders
Date: 5 August 2024

Targeted at dancers and dance leaders, this workshop will cover the basics of injury prevention, posture and alignment, as well as injury management. The session will be facilitated by Dr Filomar C. Taraio.

Performance Etiquette Workshop for Dance Leaders

The Performance Etiquette workshop will focus on how to behave in a performance space in a professional and respectful manner. will include preparing for a performance (bump-in), backstage conduct and onstage behaviour. This workshop is targeted for student dance groups, and will be facilitated by Ms Yarra Ileto.

Show Planning and Ticketing Workshop

Get an introduction to the fundamentals of planning a production, from creating a production schedule to selling your tickets. This workshop is for any arts groups on campus who are new to running their own production (i.e. a dance showcase, a music concert, or a play).

Topics covered include: Importance of production and stage management, sourcing for venues, technical aspects (lighting, sound, set design and multimedia), curation of your event, front-of-house/audience management, marketing, sales and budgeting/funding.
