A Journey Unfolding
YIH was purposefully built on a scenic ridge as part of NUS’s 1970s campus master plan. It was designed not just for functionality, but to foster student life with open spaces, greenery, and a unique layout that avoids traditional quadrangle blocks
YIH reopens in 2025. The transformation preserves the building’s heritage while promoting conservation, sustainability and decarbonisation.
The iconic arched vaults from the original building have been amplified and extended creating a grand entrance while honouring the building’s heritage.
Join us to learn more about YIH’s thoughtful design, its sustainability features, and the vibrant student spaces such as NUSSU, bookable rooms and wellness corners like PitStop.

Organised by the Office of Student Affairs (OSA), this milestone event is held in conjunction with WellNUS Festival 2025 and is part of NUS120 celebrations.
