Approvals for Event Proposals

All Student Organisations are required to submit event proposals at least six (6) weeks prior to the start of your events to your appointed staff advisor for approval. All proposals will be submitted and approved via NUSync prior to the event start date.

Approvals for Contracts and Agreements

Student organisations (apart from Registered Societies) are not authorised to enter into any contracts and agreements with any external parties outside of NUS. All contracts and agreements can only be signed by NUS staff.  While Registered Societies may enter into contracts and agreements independently, approval has to be granted by the organisation’s staff advisor.

Please refer to the table below for the corresponding signatory to the different values of agreements.

  • Master of Hall/Residential College*; or
  • Staff Advisor

Sponsorship / Donation agreements above S$5,000,000 Deputy President Dean

*Master of Hall/Residential College to only approve agreements for hostel-based groups which they oversee and are responsible for. 

The contracts and agreements that require signing by Deans or Deputy President will have to be submitted through the student groups’ staff advisors. The Dean of the respective Faculties will be the signatory for documents relating to Faculty Clubs.
