THE LAST TAKE
THE LAST TAKE is a CFA third space initiative that gives NUS musicians a chance to meet other musicians and make original music together. THE LAST TAKE aims to lower the barriers to entry to songwriting for aspiring musicians/songwritings, as taking the first step can be very daunting.
In THE LAST TAKE, six groups of musicians come together to make an original song within three hours, with the goal of producing a total of six songs in six weeks. Passersby are free to chip in during the jam sessions, happening weekly at UTown, Stephen Riady Centre, Anteroom Foyer (across from Coconut Queen). After the weekly sessions, this culminates in a final production during Recess Week, where the songs are showcased to the public in a cosy setting, resulting in ‘the last take’.
