Raise the Red Lion portrays the journey of Jia Xin, a newcomer to a lion dance troupe. Through rigorous training, clashes with other members, and moments of self-discovery, Jia Xin learns the discipline and rhythm needed to engage in this storied art form.
Raise the Red Lion is a short film inspired by the experiences of members of NUS Lion Dance. Featuring real performances, the film is a raw, heartfelt portrayal of Lion Dance’s tradition and significance.
Raise the Red Lion is brought to you by nuSTUDIOS Film Productions together with NUS Lion Dance. The film duration is 10 minutes and does not include additional behind the scenes footage or trailers. Audiences are welcome to enter and leave the venue within the stipulated times.
