The fifth iteration of Four Blank Walls: Experiments in Sound explores the act of experimentation through site-specific sound and performance interventions at Yusof Ishak House. Over the course of eight weeks, each workshop will transform the ordinary space into a small, temporary “lab” — a space for artists to explore, test, and converse through sound, movement, and presence.
In multiple unique acts across three days, two artists from different backgrounds and disciplines will come together in short, 20-minute improvised performances, creating different experiences for the viewer.
The programme draws on the idea of thinking within the box – engaging deeply with set conditions rather than escaping them. Intentionally raw, spontaneous, and unstable — Four Blank Walls: Experiments in Sound is a performative conversation that values process over polish.
